Individual Training Sessions

Get your puppy’s first official training title!
 
Sessions are 30 to 45 minutes and run consecutively for six weeks. 6 classes (1 per week) included.  Build a bond with your new puppy while learning that training is a fun and positive experience.  This class includes: ​

• Positive Motivational Training (quiet, wait)

• General Puppy Care & Grooming

• Puppy Behavior Management (nipping, barking, jumping up, leave it)

• Proper Leash Walking

• Sit and Down on Command

• Recall (come when called)

• Attend an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class for all 6 weeks with one class per week.  We will administer the AKC S.T.A.R Puppy test at the end of the course.  Upon passing the test, you'll receive a prepared approved application to send to AKC for enrollment in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program.  All dogs are welcome to participate in the program including purebreds and mixed breeds.  Upon finishing, your puppy will receive the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Medal (for display or momento purposes; not suitable as a collar tag).  You and your puppy will be listed in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy records.  In addition, so that you can continue learning, you'll receive the AKC S.T.A.R Puppy Package that includes a beautiful, frameable certificate designating your puppy is in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy records at AKC.  Also, the AKC S.T.A.R. is an official TITLE now.  

Our program will prepare a dog that has had basic or advanced obedience training and is non-aggressive towards humans or dogs, to achieve the coveted AKC CGC Title. ​
 
We offer 60 min CGC Readiness classes at $50 per class, the number of classes varies for every dog and their owner.  ​The final evaluation fee is covered with the purchase of any amount of classes.   
 
If you believe your dog is ready without classes needed, the test can be scheduled and administered separately for $35.  We have two AKC CGC certified evaluators available for scheduling. 

The CGC test has ten steps or tasks which must be evaluated by an approved AKC CGC evaluator.
